Village Bootery first opened its doors as Park Shoes in July of 1962 in Lake Park, Florida. The original owners were men who had been in the shoes business for over 40 years. In 1965 these owners decided to open another location a little further to the north. The Village of Tequesta was decided upon for a second location since there was no other shoe store around. The name changed to Village Bootery since they were now in the Village of Tequesta. In the early 1980's a third location was added in Palm Beach Gardens in the Garden Square Shopping Center on the corner of PGA Blvd and Military Trail. A fourth store was added twenty miles north in Stuart, Florida in 1987. Our original Lake Park location and our store in Palm Beach Gardens have since closed.
Three generations have been involved with making Village Bootery the best shoe stores in South Florida. Village Bootery has always been a "full service" shoe store. We custom fit your new shoes to your feet, we still measure feet and guarantee that when you leave, you are properly fit and are happy with your purchase. A certified pedorthist is on staff and all sales associates are qualified as professional shoe fitters due to an intense training and continuing education program. Village Bootery specializes in always stocking a wide range of sizes and widths for both men and women. We stock Slim to wide-wide widths and sizes 5 to 13 for women and 7 to 15 for men.
